This 4-week class will teach students the art of wine tasting. Learn how to identify the different parts of a wine (acid, ABV, sweetness, body, tannins, aromas, flavors) using your senses and to write a basic tasting note. We'll explore a variety of samples as we identify and practice. In the final session, students will go head-to-head in a deductive tasting tournament. We'll start with 2 wines. Students will know what they are, but not which is which and use their new skills to decide. Each round gets harder, with one person being named Best Deductive Taster at the end.
Classes meet Wednesdays March 8, 15, 22 from 6-8 with the deductive tasting tournament being held the final Wednesday, March 29 from 6 until a winner is crowned.
