Nearly half of all girls around the world have no access to an education. When a girl is educated, she can help lift her whole community out of poverty. She's The First, a club at Harwood Union, is sponsoring a fundraiser featuring a raffle and other fun activities on March 15th 2023 at 5:30pm to benefit girls who are the first in their family to graduate from high school in Ethiopia and Uganda.

This year for the first time since Covid, we will be having the raffle in person at Harwood! Our theme: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun… and a Good Education - reflects our own joy of gathering as a community. We have many prizes including, ski passes, gift certificates from local businesses and restaurants, art from local artists and much more. You don't have to be present to win. Through supporting our raffle you help make this a world where every girl chooses her own future.
