The Braintree Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 23, to receive comments and answer questions on the draft of the proposed Town Plan. The hearing will begin at 7:00pm and will take place at the Braintree Town Hall at 5379 VT Route 12A in West Braintree. The meeting can be attended virtually as well at https://www.uberconference.com/braintreesbmotoole

The proposed Braintree Town Plan is the result of several years of work by the Planning Commission with support and input from the Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission (TRORC). Our current Town Plan was readopted in 2017 with only minor changes made from the plan that was first drafted and approved in 2012 using 2010 US Census data. As part of the revision and readoption process the Planning Commission and Selectboard each hold public hearings to obtain comments from the public. These comments are incorporated into the revised plan that the selectboard will eventually be asked to approve prior to seeking approval from TRORC and the State of Vermont.

The proposed Town Plan is available to download online at https://braintreevt.gov/draft-of-braintree-town-plan-january-15-2023/. Hardcopies are available at the Braintree Town Office.

Comments on the plan may be delivered to the Planning Commission in person at the February 23rd hearing or anytime before via email (BraintreePC@gmail.com) or dropped off at the Braintree Town Office care of the Planning Commission.
