Officially, Macaroni Day isn't until July 7, but you can get your comfort food of homemade Mac & Cheese at the Charlotte Senior Center this coming Monday.

In The Decameron, Day 8, Boccaccio (d. 1375) showed us that macaroni has been a comfort food for a very long time: "…there was a mountain made entirely of grand Parmesan cheese, on which people did nothing but make macaroni…."
Cooks at the Charlotte Senior Center won't be making cheese mountains, but they will be serving ice cream sundaes to complete a meal of comfort food.
Come and enjoy. Signing Yankee Doodle isn't required.
