A Storytelling Performance of King Arthur's Legend "The Sword, the Stone & the Anvil" by Séamus Maynard.
The Arthurian Legend depicts, through the narration of Arthur's life and those of his company, an ancient path of wisdom and initiation. In our time these stories can speak to the deepest part of our inner nature and educate the human soul to navigate the sometimes treacherous terrain of the contemporary world that we live in. For young people these stories can help prepare them to face the life ahead of them with the strength, nobility and courage of Arthur and his band of spiritual warriors. The Sword, The Stone & The Anvil brings us to the very beginning of the Arthur initiation path as he comes to recognize himself as an initiate, by divine right, through which the powers of the spiritual world will work on behalf of the future world. This epic verse adaptation of Howard Pyle's telling aims to bring the experience of Arthur's first step, becoming a king, to life.
