Hey neighbors! Do you love to read and want to meet other people who love to read, but get stressed out by traditional book clubs?
Come hang out with Burlington's new Silent Book Club! Sunday, 2/26 from 1:00-3:00pm at Zero Gravity.
At Silent Book Club, there's no assigned reading. You bring whatever book you're reading to our monthly meet-up to have a drink, chat, and read companionably with other book lovers. All are welcome.
This is a pretty casual event, but here's how it will go down:
-1:00-1:30 - Get settled, grab a drink/seat, and chat with the group! Plan to meet at the Zero Gravity fireplace, but once we find a nice open table, we'll migrate there. Just look for the people with books!
-1:30-2:30 - Quiet time to read companionably (this is basically a reading flash mob)
-2:30-3:00 - Stick around to chat more with your fellow readers. Or, keep reading. Or, feel free to head out! Choose your own adventure, this is whatever you want it to be
Silent Book Club is a global community of readers and introverts, with 300 chapters around the world led by local volunteers. SBC members gather to read and build community in quiet camaraderie.
