Dear Neighbors,

As you may know, my district mate Representative Kate McCann was recently diagnosed with colon cancer. This has necessitated a series of chemotherapy treatments and frequent trips to see specialized doctors at Sloan Cancer Center in NYC. Despite having insurance through her school, Kate's out-of-pocket costs have resulted in a significant financial strain - all in a time when Kate has just taken a substantial pay cut to serve.

Kate is a mom, a teacher and an incredible public servant. She's always been there for other people and we need to be there for her. Please join me on February 22 at 5:30pm to "Celebrate Kate," at Hugo's Bar and Grill. We'll have music, a cash bar and an opportunity to pass the hat for Kate and her family.
