On March 7th voters will go to the polls to vote on several issues, including the election of two people for City Council and three for the School Board.

The two people running for the 3 year seat on the City Council are Andrew Chalnick and James Leas. For the two year opening we have Tyler Barnes, Lydia C. Diamond, and Paul Engles.

The School Board has three openings. Lisa Hickey and Alex McHenry are vying for the 3 year seat and Travia Childs and Brian Companion are running for the two year position. For the third position with two years remaining on a three year term, Laura Williams is running unopposed.

To help voters make informed choices, the SBHS Debate Team is hosting a public forum in the City Hall auditorium on the evening of Thursday, February 16th. The City Council forum will go from 5 to 7, and the School Board forum from 7 to 9. Join us in person in the Auditorium at City Hall (180 Market Street) or virtually at:
