The Great Backyard Bird Count is a collaborative project between the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, National Audubon Society, and Birds Canada who work together to bring the joys of bird watching to their members.
Since this year's Christmas Bird Count happened the day after the big storm, many people didn't get to fully participate. Now's your chance! You can participate from home, or walk around your neighborhood. Here's what to do.
Step 1: Decide where you will watch birds.
Step 2: Watch birds for 15 minutes or more, at least once over the four days, February 17-20, 2023.
Step 3: Identify all the birds you see or hear within your planned time/location and use the best tool for sharing your bird sightings:
More details are at the How to Participate page at the Great Backyard Bird Count here.

For people who would like to learn more, there is a free webinar on Wednesday, February 15 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. that you can sign up for here.

If that webinar date doesn't work for you, registering will give you access to the archives recording. Happy bird watching.
