Join us for a sit-in at the Calvin Coolidge Library on Monday, Feb 13th, at 9:15 am, to fight the adminstrative decision to rid Vermont State University campuses of their libraries!

As many of you may already know, the newly merging Vermont State University system has announced that it will be "repurposing" all its on-campus libraries. To this end, library staff positions are being terminated, and a majority of the books will be removed (aside from "special collections") in favour of a digital catalogue. The Calvin Coolidge Library at Castleton University is no exception.

This decision will have a devastating impact on Castleton University students, faculty, and the Castleton community. Thus, we are doing everything we can to fight for our library, the many resources it offers, and our beloved library staff!

Please do join us on Monday, February 13th at 9:15 am for a sit-in at the Calvin Coolidge Library. Take out as many books as you can, and settle in to read! All are welcome.
