Mark and Cindy Lemaire are coming to Richmond. Friday, July 18 at 7 PM

Mark Lemaire has taken the tradition of guitarist and songwriter to a unique place. While he’s shared the stage with Tracy Chapman, Maria Muldaur, and bass virtuoso Michael Manring, his recording studio experiences include work with producer Jimmy Miller (Rolling Stones, Blind Faith, Traffic), and Johnny Thunders (New York Dolls).

While Mark's solo guitar pieces stand as complete statements, his harmonies with Cindy Lemaire add another dimension. When Mark and Cindy join in song, it’s like two people with one voice. Concert promoter Kiki Wow says: “Mark Lemaire is one exceptional guitarist and songwriter, no doubt about it. And Cindy’s stellar harmonies simply mesmerize, silencing the audience who hang on every note. I've seen a lot of acts, but the harmonies of these two are so aligned and balanced, I felt as though I got an audio 'tune up' inside me after listening to their songs." This is music for adults, yet it appeals to the part of us that is ageless. (www.MarkLemaire.com)

“Complex, sophisticated song arrangements. His guitar playing is so good, it might distract you from his compelling, engaging melodies and sharp songwriting… but only for a second.”
-Richard Rice, Director, San Francisco Free Folk Festival
