A post-Valentine's Day love song special for the tender-of-heart and skeptics alike. The Rough & Tumble were voted *The Listening Room Network's 2019 Artist of the Year, *and were one of the Southeast Regional Folk Alliance's Official Showcase Artists in 2018. The folk-American duo, Mallory Graham and Scott Tyler, have been constant in their dedication to their craft, releasing an album or EP a year since 2014. Reviewer M.
McLeod wrote of them: "Wow, what an appealing package. High-quality originals in all sorts of traditional veins, from haunting ballads to stomping folk anthems. All performed with expert, polished musicianship and flawless ensemble. Amazing array of instruments and attention to musical detail, without a trace of pretension or preciousness. The vocals are a pleasure – natural yet perfectly executed. The whole effect seems fun and blithely effortless." This Valentine special features songs from their new release, *Love is Gross (but it looks good on you)*, along with a smattering of covers and originals celebrating the spirit of the holiday, both heartfelt and silly.
All ages are welcome. Tickets are $15 at the door, kids 12 and under are free. The West Newbury Hall extends a warm welcome and bountiful Valentine refreshments. 219 Tyler Farm Rd., West Newbury, VT. For more information see theroughandtumble.com.
