Newfane's Town meeting is coming up, set for 3/7. A Candidate Forum will be held at the Newfane Town Office 11am on 2/18/23.
Cris White is running for a seat on the Newfane Selectboard. She has been a community advocate her entire life. Cris grew up in Williamsville and is a 5th generation Williams. A true local, Cris and her late husband contributed greatly to the economic development of Newfane and the surrounding area. Cris & Wayne started WW Building Supply, developed Rolling Meadows and a large portion of Wildwood Acres. They also owned and/or built many other properties. Cris was actively involved in all of the businesses. Cris has been a true community advocate her entire life. She was a member of the Town of Newfane's 1976 Bicentennial Committee and is now President of the Southeastern Vermont Watershed Alliance.
I believe Cris will be a valuable asset to the Selectboard…helping the community as it navigates current challenges.
