Separation Anxiety in Dogs

Past event
Mar 28, 2023, 1 to 1:40 PM

A fundraiser for the Springfield Humane Society

Tuesday, March 28 at 1 p.m. on Zoom
Presented by Janice Z Dog Training LLC, Townshend, VT

Does your dog have a hard time when you leave the house? You are not alone. Researchers estimate that up to 20% of dogs become distressed to the point of panic when left alone. A dog with separation anxiety may howl, bark, and/or whimper for a very long time after you leave, have accidents in the house, and destroy objects such as furniture, windows, and door frames. The good news is: Separation anxiety is treatable.

In this 40-minute Zoom session you'll discover what separation anxiety is — and is not — and the steps you can take to help your dog and get your life back. 100% of the $10 registration fee will go to support the work of the Springfield Humane Society. The session will be recorded and available later, and is suitable for children.
