Have you ever wondered what it would be like to hit a golf ball in the snow? So did Rudyard Kipling! According to the U.S. Golf Association and historical accounts, Kipling invented Snow Golf right here in Vermont at his Dummerston home - Naulakha - following his introduction to the game by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle of Sherlock Holmes fame. As stewards of Naulakha, we're excited to bring the game back to life right where it was born for a fun wintery fundraiser.
Get a few friends together or come solo for an afternoon of fun in the snow. Golfers will love honing their skills, but anyone can have a blast hitting a foam golf ball in the snow! Prizes are available for winners, best dressed, and more, and all participants are entered into a drawing to win a $250 gift certificate to a Landmark property. Even better: all proceeds support the historic preservation work of The Landmark Trust USA, helping us maintain our beautiful historic properties, produce place-based educational programs, and save additional historic buildings.
Tickets are $25. Space is limited, so register today at https://landmarktrustusa.org/snow-golf
