Calling all fat bike enthusiasts and newcomers! Onion River Outdoors annual Frozen Onion is the perfect time to demo fat bikes from Rocky Mountain Bicycles, Surly, and Specialized Bicycles, join in a group ride and maybe even try out some adventure skin skis from Altai Skis, Black Diamond & Skinbased/OAC.
Riders of all abilities welcome to explore the demo loops. Got your own bike? Hop on a group ride and get to know the local riding community! Onion River Outdoors will have Mild (mellower, less climbing) and Wild (intermediate to advanced riding, all the trails up the hill) led group rides heading out at 11:00am and 1:00pm.
This annual winter event takes place at North Branch Trails in Montpelier, VT, in partnership with Montpelier Parks and Montpelier Area Mountain Bike Association.
This event is FREE!, with optional donation to MAMBA for trail grooming and maintenance. The Demo is located at the entrance to North Branch Park, off Elm Street by the Montpelier Pool (Poolside Drive) with overflow parking on Ballfield Drive.
