Hello musicians, experienced and new!

I wanted to let you all know that Woodbury Strings is starting a "Slow Jam" at the North End Studios this Friday, July 11th at Studio B, 294 No. Winooski, Burlington, VT at 7 - 9 pm. This is a great opportunity for folks to meet other musicians and develop their ability to learn melodies and chord progressions by ear. Fiddle tunes from North America and Europe will be played at a slow and continuous speed. Participants may bring fiddle tunes to share, if they wish, and no prior group experience is required. Acoustic string players of any level are welcome--beginners encouraged! John and Sarah of Woodbury Strings will be hosting these every odd month, second Fridays and will be available for any coaching to those who'd like help during the jam sessions. $5 suggested donation. This is primarily an adult oriented group but youths are also welcome (under 12 must be accompanied by a parent--contact Sarah if you are unsure about whether or not this is an appropriate group for your child to participate in and she'll help you figure that out).
