Organized by 350Vermont. Co-sponsored by: Acorn, BALE, Burlington Friends Meeting, Climate Emergency Fund, Flight Free Vermont, Keep Vermont Cool, Migrant Justice, No Coal No Gas, Peace and Justice Center, Releaf Collective, Renewable Energy Vermont, Rights and Democracy, Safe Landing VT, Slingshot, SunCommon, Sola Vida, Standing Trees, Sunrise Chittenden, Third Act Vermont, True Center Yoga, Upper Valley Affinity Group, Vermont Climate and Health Alliance, Vermont Conservation Voters, Vermont Natural Resources Council, Vermont Progressive Party, VT Interfaith Power and Light, VT Renews, VT Renews BIPOC Council, Vermonters for People Oriented Places, XR Vermont.

Our 2023 policy asks are the following:
-> Significantly increase the amount of renewable energy we produce in our state — especially community solar and networked geothermal
-> Keep electricity rates and heat affordable for low and middle-income Vermonters and require landlords to weatherize rental units
-> Require that the energy we use in Vermont is low-emitting and just and supports the health of agricultural lands and biodiversity - Large hydropower*, biofuels, biomass, renewable natural gas, and hydrogen harm people and the planet. They have no place in Vermont's energy future. We need to begin the transition NOW to a renewable energy future relying on conservation, energy-efficiency, and on local and regional wind and solar power.
-> Create an energy future that benefits working people and the most vulnerable communities.

* No new hydro-Quebec or other large hydro beyond the existing contract which are slated to end in 2036.
