Day Breaks Glass Studio in Downtown Bethel welcomes back Guest Instructor Andre Souligney teaching an evening of basic hand carving skills.
Enjoy a very basic hands-on introduction to green wood carving. We will be going over the grips and techniques, with attention to safety, for using a small hatchet, straight knife, and a few other simple tools while you endeavor to carve a butter knife, a wooden hook, and a few beads from freshly harvested green wood. We will also explore some simple carving decoration/embellishment tips to add to your creations. All tools and materials will be provided.
This special evening leads up to a full day Spoon Carving workshop with Andre here at the studio on March 18th.

This course is $75 and there is a $10 materials fee to pay directly to the instructor on the day of class.

Day Breaks Glass Studio is OPEN to visitors Mondays 10-5pm or by appointment. We offer a variety of courses in Stained Glass and Mosaic Art and host guest instructors who specialize in their handcrafts. Day Breaks Glass Studio does take commissions for stained glass and small restoration work.
