On a day like today you probably won't celebrate the fact that Feb. 1 is Ice Cream for Breakfast Day. That said, the weather will warm up and you can enjoy an ice cream sundae at the Charlotte Senior Center on Monday Munch Feb. 6.

Cornish pasties (potato, carrot, onion, & hamburger) are also on the menu. Dating back to the 13th century, pasties have a fascinating history. Popular with British miners because cutlery wasn't requited to eat them., when miners migrated to the US & Mexico they brought their pasty tradition with them. Not to worry: the Senior Center supplies knives and forks.

MENU: Monday Feb. 6, 11:30-12:30 Cornish pasties, cranberry-sesame spinach salad, cranberry juice with seltzer, ice cream sundaes with chocolate sauce, homemade sugar cookies.
