How do we destigmatize something: we get facts; we ask questions; and we talk with each other.
We have the opportunity to do just that at Bent Northrop Memorial Library in Fairfield on Friday, February 10th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. This event is free and open to everyone, including those with dementia. Come enjoy some refreshments while the Alzheimer's Association staff, Vermonters with Alzheimer's or other dementia, family caregivers, and service providers teach us about the 10 warning signs of dementia and discuss:
What it is like to be diagnosed and live with Alzheimer's or dementia.
What it is like to live and care for someone with Alzheimer's or dementia.
What services are available in Vermont and in your community.
Ideas to make Franklin County more dementia friendly.
How we can help to end Alzheimer's and all other dementias.
