Recently, Freepoint Solar reached out to the Town of Shaftsbury to acquire land in Shaftsbury to build an 85 acre solar array along Holy Smoke Road. The Shaftsbury Planning Commission is inviting the public to an open forum on the solar project at Shaftsbury Elementary School auditorium on Wednesday, February 8th at 6pm. This meeting will be in person at 150 Buck Hill Road or online via zoom. We have invited a panel of experts to answer questions including a regional planner, state legislator, a local renewable energy professional and a representative from Freepoint Solar.
