Huh? What's this? Well, it'll be a 5-piece bluegrass band comprised of Caleb Elder on fiddle, Patrick "Pappy" Biondo on banjo, Korey Brodsky on mandolin, Pat Melvin on bass and Danny Coane on guitar. It's billed by Bent Nails as "Danny Coane and the State House Bluegrass Band" probably because Danny's a Montpelier boy with some name recognition, they guess, but in reality it's Caleb Elder of Starksboro who is fronting and has the only current connection with the VT State House since he's a representative from Addison-4. All these guys are stellar, experienced bluegrass musicians. So while the Legislature is in session, Caleb wants to bring some bluegrass music to Bent Nails, located at 4 Langdon St., Montpelier. The show is 7 - 9pm. No cover, but donations accepted. And watch out- there's sure to be a bunch of legislators in the audience!
