This re-energizing, interdisciplinary, education retreat and conference is open to the public and is geared toward all educators, as well as Goddard alumni to come back and re-engage with faculty, students, and the beautiful, Plainfield, Vermont campus.
GEAR takes place over four days during the BA and MA in Education residency and features education dialogues, an "unconference," alumni reunion, music and hiking, and these focused workshops:
Conferencing for Essay Writing; Financial Literacy for High School Student; Literacy and Project Based Learning; Copyright and Fair Use in the Classroom: Citing Sources is not Enough; Using Literacy in the context of Visual Art; So you don't want to be here?; Ecological Literacy in the Classroom; Teaching Literacy through Multimedia; and Technology in our Favor: Utilizing Google Apps to Create and Administer CCS Aligned Writing Assessments.
