I know swimming and recreating in the Whetstone Brook isn't at the forefront of everyone's minds right now, but if you're curious about water quality on our Town's central stream, check out the monthly meeting of the Brattleboro Conservation Commission this evening at 6pm to hear a presentation from Marie Caduto, Watershed Coordinator with the VT Department of Environmental Conservation and Ryan O'Donnell, Water Quality Monitoring Coordinator for the Connecticut River Conservancy about 2022 water quality monitoring results and water quality issues and trends on the Whetstone Brook.
The meeting will be both in person and online. The meeting as a whole will start at 5:15pm (with a related report-back on recent timber harvest operations at Pleasant Valley Reservoir—stay tuned for more on that in the coming months), but the presentation is scheduled to start at 6pm.
