There is a prospective parent luncheon at Rice Memorial High School this Thursday, 1/26, at noon. If you have a high schooler or an 8th grader, this is a chance to learn about Rice. The principal who started this year is absolutely excellent - Andrew Keogh. He was the former principal and superintendent of Wellesley High School in Massachusetts, which is one of the best high schools in that state. He'll be at the luncheon.

We now have two kids at Rice, soon to be three, and we think the school is doing a fantastic job focusing on academics, content, and engaging each student where they are. These pages spell out their approach:

And students are really involved. Things like the Student Life Fund have helped bolster strong community spirit.

They do have a financial aid fund at Rice, which many people do not realize.

p.s. If you look through their website, you can get a sense of how organized and well-run the school is. Websites often can be a signal of what lies beneath. Click the Menu icon in the upper right of their site.
