Waterbury's NQID Celebration June 24

Past event
Jun 24, 2023

SAVE THE DATE!! The Waterbury Rotary Club has set the date for NQID (Not Quite Independence Day) as June 24. There will be a parade, concerts in the park, fireworks, kids' games and more.

The theme for this year's event is "Peace, Love and the 4th of July". The winning theme, selected by Rotarians from over 40 entries sent in by community members, was submitted by Lisa Sholk. Lisa will receive a t-shirt and be invited to sit in the parade review stand and help to choose the parade float that best represents the NQID theme.

NEXT UP: The Waterbury Rotary Club is looking for community members to submit design suggestions for t-shirts to illustrate the NQID theme of "Peace, Love & 4th of July." Entries will be accepted through 6 p.m. on Feb. 13 and a winner will be chosen on Feb. 14.

To submit a t-shirt design idea, please send an email to rotaryclubwaterbury@gmail.com with your name, contact information, and images of your design.

Mark your calendars for June 24. Although it may be cold and snowy outside right now, NQID will be here before you know it.
