The Farmer Panel to kick off the Farming in Monkton Writing contest has been changed to Tuesday January 31 at 2pm, so there is still time for more farmers to participate. If you (or your neighbor farmer) is interested please email me below or librarian Holly Esterline at holly.esterline@mausd. Also, if you cannot participate but would like the students to know about your farm you can send a few photos to me or Holly and we'll put together a Farming in Monkton display.

Many of our students have no direct contact with local farms and what they produce. Part of literacy is learning to "read" and write about the local land. Help us to educate them in agricultural/localfood literacy!
