Plainfield Arts (formerly Friends of the Plainfield Opera House) is excited to present the first performance in its 2023 series. Three of Vermont's most inspiring and exciting Irish musicians in concert! Hilari is a masterful harp and button accordion player, Benedict is internationally famous for playing and building uilleann pipes (among other things), and Sarah Blair is a fantastic Irish fiddler. They have all performed widely at festivals across the continent, and although they have played together in Vermont sessions and on occasional recordings for decades, this is the first time that they will perform as a trio in a concert setting.
From lively reels to haunting airs, this trio of friends will carry the audience along on a musical journey from Ireland, through the Irish diaspora in Boston, Rhode Island, New York, and Vermont. Together the three friends will create an unforgettable concert of Irish music.
