On January 26 at 7 pm, the Jericho Energy Task Force will present Burn Right Vermont with Gail Stevenson.
Stevenson has been a consultant with the International Cryosphere Climate Initiative (ICCI), an organization that informs about and protects the cryosphere (the earth's ice and snow-covered regions), since 2011. She has worked on the mitigation of black carbon from agricultural burning in Russia, Ukraine and elsewhere. Since 2016, she has promoted effective and efficient wood burning in several places across the globe. Burn Right Vermont educates and informs Vermonters on how to burn wood more efficiently and with less pollution, no matter what kind of wood-burning stove you have.
Additionally, we will have brochures and other information from Efficiency Vermont and a discussion about wood and pellet stoves. Light refreshments will be available but this is a waste-free event so please bring your own mugs and plates.
