Planning Commission takes to the streets on July 9! The regular 7/9 PC meeting will NOT be at the Town Office, and will NOT be at the regular time. Instead, the Planning Commission will meet at the Bristol Bakery & Cafe at 6:30pm for a walking tour to take a look at some of the village area development projects completed in the last 10-15 years. Likely tour areas include: Farmall Drive, Route 116 (between Farmall Drive and Mechanicsville Rd), Mechanicsville Rd, Thistle Hill Rd, Commerce Street.
The Town Plan expresses a vision. The Zoning & Subdivision regulations are supposed to establish a framework, with rules to help implement that vision. Sounds good on paper, but what is the actual result on the ground? Let’s have a look!
Everyone is welcome to join the PC for some our all of the walkabout! Contact me with any questions. Also note that the Development Review Board will be conducting a similar tour at their July 15 meeting.
