Do you use our library? Thanks to our wonderful staff it serves a vital role in our community. But it is desperate need of repair and isn't currently set up to meet Middlebury's needs into the future.
We would love for you to come learn more about possible future plans for our library and share your ideas. We're holding two meetings for public input next week:
• Tuesday, January 17th at 7:00 pm in the library's Community Meeting Room
• Friday, January 20th at 12:00 pm via Zoom only https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81862472831
At these meetings, the Ilsley 100 Project Team will outline our process to date and then share four different options to address facility needs while fulfilling our vision for the future. The Project Team has carefully explored these possibilities, developed a list of the pros and cons for each one, and obtained rough estimated costs for each option.
After receiving and considering community feedback, the Project Team will recommend one of these options to the Selectboard. So this is your chance to participate in this part of the public process and share your opinions.
These gatherings are a follow up to a series of public meetings held in November, dedicated to the larger vision for the new library building. If you were unable to attend those meetings, but would like to learn more, you can get a quick overview of what was discussed by reviewing the slides from the presentation here https://www.ilsleypubliclibrary.org/about-us/ilsley-100-project-team/ where you will also find a link to a video recording of that entire presentation.
If your schedule doesn't permit you to attend either of next week's public gatherings, please send your views to our library Director, Dana Hart, dana.hart@ilsleypubliclibrary.org who will pass them along to the Project Team.
Hope to see you there!
