Every year, advocates join together to raise their voice in support of Mental Health Advocacy Day. This year is no exception, everyone is meeting virtually on Monday, January 30, 2023 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm to call on Vermont leaders and legislators to let them know, "Mental Health Starts with YOUth". Let's be the generation that replaces mental health stigma with mental health support. We encourage any community member to join this event.
The day will include a welcome address from state leaders who will be invited, including Governor Scott, Lt. Governor Zuckerman, Secretary of Human Services Jenney Samuelson, Senate President Pro Tem Phil Baruth, Speaker of the House Jill Krowinski, Commissioner of Mental Health Emily Hawes, and other Legislative Leaders.
The morning includes a Keynote Plenary Session from Alexina Federhen, Miss Vermont 2022.
