Colchester Lions Club is inviting you to be part of Colchester Lions Club 16th Annual Speak Out Contest!
High School age students who reside in Colchester, Milton and Winooski -OR- attend one of the High Schools in those towns are eligible. Cash Prizes will be awarded. For more details, please see our 'Colchester Lions Club Vermont' Facebook Page.
Contest Topic "How can the environment be Saved for our Future?"
Contest will be held Wednesday, April 5th @ 6:30pm - Register by Monday, April 3th.

Colchester Lions Club Presents the 16th Annual - Speak Out Contest 2023
Speak Out Topic: "How can the environment be Saved for our Future?"
Participants:
- High School Students
- Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors and Senior
- Students must be residents of the Towns of Colchester, Milton or Winooski -OR- attend Colchester, Milton or Winooski High Schools
Being held: Wednesday Night April 5, 2023 at 6:30 PM
Registration: Deadline is Monday, April 3rd
Location: Malletts Bay Congregational Church, 1672 W. Lakeshore Dr. Colchester
Speech is 5 to 7 minutes long.
Judging criteria:
- Address theme (20 percent)
- Development of theme (50 percent)
- Expression and Delivery (30 percent)
- Each judge will be allowed to ask a question of each participant
Cash Prizes: 1st $250, 2nd $150, 3rd, $100 plus 4 additional $25 prizes
This is a two-level statewide competition. Our Colchester Lions Club winner will be eligible to participate in the Vermont Lions District Competition.
Round two - Held: Saturday, April 29th, 2023 @ 11:00am in Manchester, VT
Prizes (all cash) 1st Place $500, 2nd Place $300, 3rd Place $200 plus additional prizes.
