Hello Old North End & Downtown neighbors!

This Thursday evening, join your neighbors for a delicious vegetarian community dinner followed by the Wards 2 & 3 neighborhood planning assembly (NPA) meeting. The NPA is a great way to learn about local issues and happenings, offer your input, and meet neighbors and local leaders.

Special agenda items this month:

** Group discussion! We'll brainstorm and talk about what we want from the NPA. Those coming just for the dinner will get to take part as well.

** Ballot breakdown! We'll learn about the six (6!) ballot questions for the March 7 Town Meeting Day. (You'll receive a ballot by Feb 15.)

** We'll also be voting on a resolution to name the Shelburne Street roundabout after Tony Redington. RESOLUTION TEXT (to the Burlington Department of Public Works): "Community advocate, former transportation planner, and former NPA Steering Committee member Tony Redington passed away this summer. In recognition of Tony's decades of tireless advocacy on behalf of pedestrian and bicycle safety; his commitment to transportation equity; and his vocal support of roundabouts, the Wards 2 & 3 Neighborhood Planning Assembly hereby requests that the Shelburne Street Roundabout be officially designated the "Tony Redington Roundabout.""

Thursday, January 12
Dinner: 5:30 - 6:30pm. A vegetarian New Year's themed meal, with black-eyed pea stew, coleslaw, cornbread (with V/GF option), and lemon bread. Free; donations encouraged.
NPA meeting: 6:30 - 8:30pm
