On Monday, January 9th, the petitions requesting that the Castleton Select Board rescind their vote to sell the former CVS building and keep it in town possession for a period of at least three years will be presented to the Select Board. Recreation is a vital element of a healthy community and in order for us to grow programming a building is essential. We will be asking to have the petition request on the March ballot.
The new recreation director, Bo Elliott Ramos, has done a remarkable job since coming on board. Bo is committed to Castleton recreation and is already developing new programming to be run out of the former CVS building.
Please join us January 9th at 7:20 at the Fire Station to show the select board the community support for this valuable initiative. Once again, the Commission and the CVS Coalition extends a huge Thank You to all of the people that came to the many ad-hoc committee meetings and those that helped with the CVS clean up last month.
