Do you want to learn how to make a difference in how faith communities talk about mental health? This Saturday, the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Vermont (NAMI Vermont) is offering a free training for anyone interested in becoming a presenter for the NAMI FaithNet program.
FaithNet presentations are free and offered to all faith communities. They are typically 60–90 minutes long and include:
-An introduction to NAMI Vermont and available resources
-A conversation on what mental illness is and how it impacts individuals, families, and communities
-How faith communities can support members of their congregation who may be impacted by mental health challenges
FaithNet presentations are available virtually or in-person and may be tailored to suit each congregation's needs. By becoming a FaithNet presenter, you will play an important role in changing the discourse around mental health in faith communities and creating more supportive environments for individuals impacted by mental illness.
The upcoming training will take place:
Saturday, January 7, 2023
10–11:30 a.m.
