Argyle Library's Summer Program for Children July 11

Past event
Jul 11, 2014, 10 AM to 12 PM

"Lady Slipper" will be the guest at this summer's first program for young children at the Argyle Free Library. The program will include her reading of Jay Williams' book, "Everyone Knows What a Dragon Looks Like", followed by the children "becoming" a dragon in the Chinese Dragon Dance with traditional musical accompaniment . They will also create their own paper Chinese dragons to take home, and will enjoy a bit of the gracious Asian hospitality that the young lad of the story offered the strange visitor. Carrie Williams, program coordinator, recommends this summer program series for preschoolers through sixth-graders. Preregistration appreciated for this FREE program, but not required (call Library, 638-8911 or me at 638-1020). Parents of pre-schoolers are requested to accompany their children.
