The Town of Wallingford is gearing up for some fabulous concerts in 2023. Please mark your calendar for these concerts, starting with Gypsy Reel on Wednesday, January 11 at 7 p.m. at Town Hall. Here are more details:

Gypsy Reel, who will be performing on Wednesday, January 11th at 7:00 p.m., is known for playing high energy stirring music rooted in the Celtic tradition, but garnered from the whole world. Based locally but performing worldwide, their music is an exciting synthesis of world rhythms and influences from 3 continents. The line-up includes talented banjoist and vocalist Claudine Langille, Graham Parker on fiddle, Camille Parker on mandolin & bodhran and singing in French and English, and Shrewsbury's own vocalist & guitarist extraordinaire, Silas Hamilton. All concerts start at 7:00 p.m. with suggested donations of $10 to $15/person with all proceeds going to musicians less 10 percent to the Town.

Extra Stout, Vermont's favorite traditional Irish band, will be performing on Wednesday, March 15th, 2023. Extra Stout has been playing together for upwards of twenty years. They bring all of the variety that Irish music has to offer from raucous drinking songs to ballads of home and country; from slow haunting airs to rocking reels, jigs and polkas. Suggested donations of $10 to $15/person at the door with all proceeds going to musician less 10 percent to the Town. The Sky Blue Boys, a duo comprised of Willy and Dan Lindner (who formed Banjo Dan and the Mid-Nite Plowboys), will perform at Wallingford Town Hall at 75 School Street in Wallingford on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. The duo has built up a large repertoire of wonderful old ballads, parlor songs, heart songs and sacred numbers. The Sky Blue Boys have expanded the accompaniment to include a variety of acoustic instruments and added many newer songs including several of their own compositions. Suggested donations of $10 to $15 per person at the door.
