If you haven't attended an Old Town Hall tea-tasting, the time is now!
The third annual tea-tasting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 9 at 7 pm, and John McConnell of Vermont Liberty Tea Company (Waterbury) is "tea'd up" once again to host the event.
This year's focus? "Tea and Your Health." John McConnell, Vermont's foremost tea expert, will bring an assortment of brewed teas to accompany his talk about the varied effects of tea on your health.
Do you know the health benefits of herbal teas like rooibos? Have you even heard of rooibos?
Do you know about the potential problems that green teas pose to health?
Are you aware of the research regarding the health benefits of lemons?
This tasty and informative program is free, but - as with all tasting events - you need a reservation to attend! Contact Betsy Hale at 276-3488 or bhale0723@gmail.com with your name, the number in your group, and a phone number or email address for confirmation.
Reservations must be received by Tuesday, July 8, at 9 am so that preparations can accommodate all guests. When you arrive, in addition to your teacup, you will receive a handout of major points in the presentation with space for your own notations.
This program is sponsored by the Kinney Pike Insurance office in Randolph. And during the program we will "pass the teapot "(hat) because your donations support the Brookfield Community Partnership in keeping the Old Town Hall vibrant and the renovations moving forward.
The Brookfield Community Partnership is a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation dedicated to the restoration of the Old Town Hall as a community center that brings neighbors together.
