Cabot School will be hosting an intergenerational pottery workshop this winter that's free and open to the community. Any Cabot resident (age 7 and above) is welcome to register for this weekly program, to be led by instructor Sandy Pond in the school's shop. Participants will learn the basic techniques of creating with wet clay, become familiar with the tools of the craft, and develop their creativity as they make items of their choosing.
This workshop will be held every Tuesday from 6-7:30 p.m., beginning Jan. 10 and continuing through Feb. 21. Advance registration is required, and we recommend registering as soon as possible. However, because space is limited to about 10 participants, we ask that you sign up only if you expect to be able to attend all the sessions. To ensure that the workshop is truly intergenerational, we plan to reserve approximately half the spaces for children and half for adults.
