Monday evening, Dec. 19th from 6:30-7:30 ,our Slate Valley Union School Board will meet in the Castleton Elementary School Library. Like most schools at this time, our school board and its administration has been working on the 2023-2024 budget. Mary your calendar on January 9 when the Finance Committee will review the proposed budget at its regularly scheduled meeting. Now is the time to ask questions and address concerns you might have about how our students are doing academically. You can also learn about investments the school system plans to make for the next school year. Our Slate Valley schools not only address the educational needs of our children but also the mental health needs,of some students, food insufficiency, and after-school childcare. Although my husband and I have grandchildren in the schools, we always appreciated the support when our children were in the schools.
