First Night North in St. Johnsbury has been a favorite tradition celebrating the New Year for many years...but the celebration had to be moved online for the past two years due to the pandemic.

This year, the celebration is back - LIVE - and it will be amazing. Over 200 performers presenting over 70 shows at 13 different venues. Entertainment, including music, magic, dance, comedy, an art show, storytelling, fire artists, planetarium shows at the Fairbanks Museum and children's activities, all presented in family friendly, alcohol-free settings. There is also a wide array of food choices both inside select venues as well as from food vendors along the streets. The whole thing will be capped off with a dance party and ball rise on Main Street at midnight. Shuttlebuses will be provided to help folks move between venues!

The celebration starts at 4 PM so pick up your buttons online or at the Catamount box office and join the party. You can also get a complimentary button if you volunteer for just two hours during the evening. Check it out at firstnightnorth.org.
