The Otter Creek Audubon Society in conjunction with National Audubon will be conducting its annual Christmas Bird Count this Sunday. This will be the 123rd Christmas Bird Count in the history of National Audubon, the longest running community science bird project. Otter Creek Audubon and the Weybridge Conservation Committee started a count in the 1950's for a few years. Then it was picked up again by Jim Andrews in 1989 in conjunction with Weybridge and the OCAS and has run annually for the last 33 years. ~ If you feed birds, please be sure to have your feeders full on this Sunday. We may stop in front of your home and record what birds you have and add them to the CBC data. The birds will appreciate it as well after the predicted snow storm.
