Hello snowy Guilford!
Guilford Winter Pen Pals connects folks across our town to swap letters and cards throughout the winter season. This is an opportunity to build relationships and help weave the fabric of our community. Meet someone new, or get to know someone better!
Last year was the first for this program, and what a success! A wide variety of folks signed up from all over town. Ages ranged from the single digits on up to senior citizens. Some families even participated as a group. We had an overwhelmingly positive response! "It was such a nice, easy, graceful way to meet someone," remarked one pen pal. Another added, "What a cool way to be in someone's life! I felt the real person come out of the paper." Yet another put it simply, "What an experience!"
It is NOW time to sign up again for the coming winter season. Guilford Folk will start pairing people off at the end of December, so the letter writing can begin with the New Year in January and run through April.
To sign up, you just need to fill out a simple form with your information and interests. Paper forms can be found at the Library or can be filled out through the Library's website: https://www.guilfordfreelibraryvt.org
We will do our best to match people according to their preferences. And then let the writing begin!
