To meet Vermont's climate goals, we'll need to build public support and provide the backing our elected officials need to take bold action. In 2023, there are two important areas where Vermont can make significant progress toward a just transition off carbon-based fuels:
1. where our electricity comes from
2. how we heat our homes.
The latest report from UN Climate Change shows that places around the world (including New England) are failing to meet their emissions reduction goals and locking the world into an increasingly certain chaotic climate future. Join 350VT, a statewide grassroots network, to explore how Vermont is doing and how we can do our part to build collective power for climate justice.
Join us on 12/19 on zoom from 7-8:30 to learn more about what a just and low-emissions Vermont climate future could look like, what stands in our way, and what we can do to make it happen!
