Addison County Solid Waste Management District is happy to announce this year's Merry Mulch Christmas Tree Collection! Come turn your Christmas Tree into a fragrant pine mulch that will be available in the spring.
Vergennes & Middlebury Curbside Collection
Volunteers from the Vergennes Lions Club and the Middlebury Rotary Club will collect trees from the curb in Vergennes and Middlebury on the morning of Saturday, January 7. Be sure to put your tree out the night before, as collection starts early! Remove any decorations from the trees, so there are no ornaments, tinsel, wire, or garlands. This collection is only for trees, so please do not put wreaths out.
Tree Drop-Off
If you missed curbside collection or do not reside in Vergennes and Middlebury, fear not! Any District resident can drop off Christmas trees at the District Transfer Station during operating hours in the month of January for FREE. Please follow the same guidelines by removing all decorations, such as garlands, ornaments, tinsel, and wire. No wreaths.
