The Planning Commission is holding a meeting at 7:30 PM tonight on the proposed Verizon cell tower. Verizon has declined the second invitation from the Town to meet and will not be in attendance. Despite this, the Planning Commission wants to use this opportunity to hear from the community on what questions we would like Verizon to answer and what information they should be providing. The Planning Commission has also invited Clare Rock, a Senior Planner from the Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission to discuss their role in this process as well as possible amendments to the town's plan and zoning ordinances to address some of the concerns implicated by the Verizon proposal.
It will be very important that as many of you as possible attend this meeting so that the Planning Commission can hear your concerns and questions directly. In addition, in anticipation of a larger turnout, the meeting is being held on the second floor of the Town Hall which does not have as good a Zoom connection. Accordingly, if at all possible, please consider attending in person.
