Dear Givers of Good Things,
I am super excited to invite you to participate in a new initiative: "100 Women Who Care Addison County."
The premise is that 100 women each agree to commit $100 four times per year, and we gather quarterly to collectively decide how to make an impact with our pooled $10,000.
There is so much to love about this:
· Women talking about money and working together to support good works
· Women making an impact with their collective giving
· Focus on local giving
· Opportunity to learn about many different non-profit organizations in Addison County

Here are the details in a nutshell: Becoming a member is a two-step process: First, click the "join" button on our website. Second, create an account on grapevine. Becoming a member means you agree to have your credit card charged $100/quarter. You will be billed the first $100 when you create your grapevine account, and that will be applied to the upcoming voting quarter. You will then be billed $100 the 3rd Monday of the month in January (for April's meeting), April (for July's meeting), July (for October's meeting), and October (for January's meeting).
Once you're a member, you can nominate a worthy organization each month. Nominated organizations must be designated nonprofits with 501(c)3 status for 3 or more years, and must serve Addison County residents.
Two weeks before each quarterly meeting, 3 nominated organizations will be randomly drawn from the pool of submissions. Those 3 organizations will be invited to our quarterly meeting to give a 5-minute presentation on what they would do with funds from us. During the meeting immediately following the presentations, all members attending (in-person and via zoom) vote – the organization with the most votes takes home 70% of our pooled funds. The other two organizations each take home 15% of that quarter's funds.
