There will be a Holiday Jumble Sale at the Hancock Town Hall on Sunday, December 18 from 10 - 3, sponsored by the RHS Repurposing Fund. The sale will feature treasures and tag sale items, including: quality household items, gently used children's clothing and books, houseplants, accessories (scarves and jewelry), gifts for kids to buy, holiday items (including Christmas books), sheet music, and many last minute gift ideas.
There will also be homemade cheesecake for sale, as well as homemade cheesecake whoopie pies. These desserts were a hit at the Winter Market held at Pierce Hall and will be available on December 18 to enjoy during the Christmas holidays.
This community fundraiser will have friendly prices, and there will be live music as well as complimentary Christmas cookies and hot drinks. To donate items in good condition (no electronics or children's toys, please) contact Midge Scanlan at afriend@sover.net. To volunteer to work at the sale contact Dorothy Robson at dorothy@together.net. All proceeds from the sale will benefit the former Rochester High School's Heating Fund so that minimal heat is maintained until the building's future is assured.
